Transportation Ministry

Driving tests scheduled to take place in Ashdod and Ashkelon in the coming days will be conducted in Beit Shemesh. Those scheduled to take place in Sderot, Netivot and Ofakim will be held in Be'er Sheva, as scheduled. Motor vehicle registration offices in all locations will
remain open as usual.

Public transportation is operating as usual.

Employment Bureau
Employment bureaus in Ashdod, Be'er Sheva, Sderot, Netivot, Ofakim and Ashkelon are closed, but unemployment and income supplement allowances will be paid as usual. Tel.: (08) 626-4130.

Education
Class has been suspended at all communities within 30-40 kilometers of the Gaza Strip. The Home Front Command order affects the following communities: Be'er Sheva, Hatzerim, Sderot, Ashkelon, Netivot, Ashdod, Ofakim, Kiryat Malachi, Kiryat Gat, Rahat and the regional councils of Eshkol, Hof Ashkelon, Sdot Hanegev, Sha'ar Hanegev, Merhavim, Lachish, Bnei Shimon, Yoav, Shafir, Be'er Tuvia, Gedera, Gan Yavneh and Gderot.

Health clinics

The health maintenance organization clinics in the affected areas will be working together, with all facilities treating all patients who come to them. There will be at least one working clinic within 20 kilometers of all locations in the Be'er Sheva, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot and Gaza border area. A full list of the clinics (Hebrew only) can be found at www.health.gov.il.

Interior Ministry

The ministry has extended the deadline for renewing gun licenses due to the security situation. Population Registry offices in Ashdod and Be'er Sheva are operating as usual. The office in Ashkelon is closed. Population Registry offices throughout the country will provide
services to residents of Ashkelon, Sderot and border areas. Other Population Registry offices in the south will remain open, in accordance with Home Front Command orders.

'Quiet station' radio

These stations will be silent during the following hours, except in the event of a rocket alert.
Sderot: Army Radio 104 FM, quiet from 9 P.M. to 7 A.M. During the day any alerts will be broadcast on air.
Ashkelon: Army Radio 90 FM, quiet 24 hours a day; Radio Darom 101.5 FM, quiet from 9 P.M. to 6 A.M. During the day, alerts will be broadcast on air.
Netivot: 106 FM, quiet station from 9 P.M. to 6 A.M.

Home Front Command

The command's Web site, www.oref.org, lists the communities classified by their distance from Gaza (border areas, 10-20 kilometers, 20-30 kilometers, 30-40 kilometers) and instructions for each (also in English).
A Hebrew-only Web site, www.oz.org.il, has been created for people living in the affected areas, and offers information about government institutions, recommendations for handling children and more.
