Report: U.S. kept file on former British PM Blair's 'private life'

United States intelligence officials kept a file on former British prime minister Tony Blair's "private life," ABC News.com quoted a former U.S. navy communications operator as claiming on Monday.

David Murfee Faulk told the U.S. news network that he saw the file on Blair, who is currently the Quartet's envoy to the Middle East, in 2006 when he worked at a listening post in Fort Gordon, Georgia.

Murfee said he found the file in an intelligence data base, called "Anchory," to which his top secret clearance had given him access.

The former communications operator also told ABC News.com that during his time at Fort Gordon, he heard "pillow talk" phone calls of Iraq's first interim president, Ghazi al-Yawer.
