Study demonstrates Israeli teens' startling addiction to cell phones

The number of cell phones per capita in Israel has always been amongst the highest in the world.

But a recent study tracking the use of electronic communication among Israeli youth reveals that the next generation may be far more attached to their phones than anyone ever conceived.

he ethnographic research, conducted by Cellcom, shows that every month, teenagers send an average of 110 text messages, and download eight musical files and five games. They also vote via text messaging ten times a month for their favorite reality show contestants.
