Militants fire anti-tank missiles at IDF troops near Gaza border
By News Agencies
Tags: gaza truce, idf

Palestinian militants early Friday fired two anti-tank missiles at Israeli troops along the Gaza-Israel border, a violation of a four-month-old truce, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Troops investigating suspicious movements along the fence near the Kissufim crossing came under fire from inside Gaza, the army said. There were no injuries.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility from any Palestinian militant group.

The violation was the second by the Palestinians in two days. On Thursday, a little-known group calling itself Hezbollah Palestine claimed responsibility for firing a rocket from Gaza into southern Israel.

Israel and Gaza's Hamas rulers reached a truce deal in June, largely ending Palestinian rocket fire at Israeli towns and Israeli retaliatory raids.
