The Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA) is to salute Israeli director Amos Gitai by showing a retrospective of his documentary films from October 24.

The event will open with the New York premier of "News from Home/News from House" (2006), the third part in the trilogy in which he follows the story of a house in Jerusalem's German Colony and its transient inhabitants, all against the background of the changing political reality in the capital.

The two other parts of the trilogy, "House" (1980) and "A House in Jerusalem" (1998), and the films "Zion, Auto-Emancipation" (1998), "Kippur, War Memories" (1998), "Pineapple" (1983), Arena of Murder", (1996) and "In the Valley of the Wupper" (1993) will also be included in the retrospective.
