Beer aficionados flock to Palestinian village of Taybeh for Oktoberfest

A hilltop Palestinian village north of Ramallah was the unlikely site for an annual celebration of beer this past weekend.

Oktoberfest came to Taybeh, a Christian village in the West Bank that produces the only Palestinian beer, also called Taybeh.

he festival was the village's fourth Oktoberfest, replete with a German brass band in traditional Bavarian dress, local performances and massive amounts of beer.
