The sarcophagus fragment that had archaeologists giddy on Yom Kippur

Just in time for Yom Kippur, archaeologists made a discovery they say strengthens Judaism's claim of a historical and political presence in Jerusalem.

The excavation was conducted by the Civil Administration to prepare for the constructions of the separation fence between Israel and the Palestinians.

he stone is part of a coffin believed to have contained the son of the High Priest - the Jleader of the Jewish establishment who was also in charge of the Temple.
