Police Commissioner David Cohen has decided to promote his brother, Brigadier General Moti Cohen, to the position of deputy Jerusalem District commander, following Public Security Minister Avi Dichter's authorization of the appointment. This is the second time Cohen has promoted his brother - shortly after taking up the commissioner post, he promoted him to the position of Brigadier General. On Thursday, Dichter will hold a hearing for Major General Uri Bar-Lev, who was released from his position as Southern District commander after refusing to leave the force to pursue studies. Police continue to search for a 77-year-old man from the center of the country who went missing yesterday while swimming in a race across Lake Kinneret. Last night, police helicopters and divers searched the lake, but stopped when darkness hindered rescue efforts. Investigators said the man is an experienced swimmer, but fear he may have drowned.
