After 23-year wait, Be'er Sheva cultural center finally opens its doors

After a 23-year wait, Be'er Sheva's new cultural center finally threw open its doors on Tuesday night.

The center is set to hold drama, opera and other musical events. At the gala opening, a large orchestra played as dancers performed for the excited public.

he celebrations for architect Salo Hirsko were particularly significant. It was his design that was chosen to be built in 1985. The years passed, though, as bureaucratic difficulties delayed the project from coming to fruition.
