Haaretz.com/Channel 10 daily feature for September 22, 2008.

After many delays, the moment awaited by Israeli technology buffs arrived this week, with the opening of the country's first Apple store in Tel Aviv.

Die-hard fans waited in line for hours to experience locally the branding universe of the company that brought consumers Macintosh computers, iPods and the coveted iPhone.

In a format reminiscent many Apple stores worldwide, products are on display in a space that spans 300 square meters on the second floor of the Ramat Aviv mall, with the familiar Apple logo towering over shoppers against a black backdrop.
