After years of losses, Palestinian stock exchange looks to bright future

After three years of losses the Palestine Securities Exchange is enjoying increased investor confidence in the Palestinian economy.

Better known as the Nablus Stock Market, the PSA was established in 1997 during a period of optimism regarding peace prospects between Israel and the Palestinians.

ut between 2004 and 2007, the year Hamas took over the Gaza Strip, the PSE lost 50% of its value. Though investors have regained confidence in the Palestinian economy, infighting and Israeli military raids are constant threats to a prosperous future.
