Four die on Israel's roads within 24 hours

A string of car accidents in Israel over the past 24 hours has claimed the lives of four people, including an 11-year-old boy.

A Tiberias woman, 33, was killed early Saturday morning after being hit by a police patrol car. The woman was crossing the main road, which does not have a crosswalk, at the southern entrance to Tiberias when she was struck. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

A motorcyclist was also killed early Saturday when his motorcycle overturned in Tel Aviv.

On Friday, two people, including a boy, 11, were killed when a vehicle carrying five passengers from Ramle to a wedding in Rahat overturned near the Beit Kama junction.

One of the other passengers was seriously injured, and two more were moderately injured. All the victims were taken to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva for treatment.

Two more people were injured, one seriously and one lightly, earlier on Friday, in a collision between a private vehicle and a truck near Nazareth.
