For many, fewer and pricier flights means no way out of dog days of summer

As August draws to a close, Israeli children and parents alike have had just about enough of the dog days of summer.

Daytime activities are running out and everyone is ready to hop a flight to get away, but it looks like there's a new reality in the skies.

irlines all over the world are operating at a loss and cutting flights. With so many Israelis still wanting to go abroad, that means virtually no tickets available through August to many hotspots all over the world.

And the ones that do remain are available at astronomical prices.
