Cyclist killed in hit-and-run accident in Sharon region

A cyclist, 30, was killed Saturday in a hit-and-run accident near the Beit Lid junction in the Sharon region. Police found the driver in Hadera after a short search.

The driver, 50, has a police record for property and traffic crimes. Police believe he ran because of his criminal record, and may have been under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident.
