Palestinian gardeners: Olmert's security guards beat us up
By Haaretz Staff and Channel 10
Tags: Ehud Olmert, Israel

Two Palestinian gardeners from East Jerusalem claimed on Monday that they were beaten up by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's security guards. One of the men was hospitalized in a serious condition, while the other was listed as lightly wounded.

"They pulled my hair and punched me in the face, they threw me to the floor and kicked me," said one of the men from his hospital bed.

The Shin Bet security service said in response that the men, who worked near the prime minister's official residence in Jerusalem, were hurt in an altercation that developed after they refused to identify themselves.
