Tags: Israel, road accidents

A 62-year-old man was killed early Friday morning when his car slammed into two horses in the northern region of Wadi Ara.

The man, a resident of the Arab village of Arara, was driving on Highway 65 from Umm al-Fahm to Hadera when the horses crossed onto the road.

The impact of the crash trapped the victims in the car and gutted the horses.

A 9-year-old girl and a woman were seriously injured in the accident. They were taken to the Rambam Hospital in Haifa for treatment.

On Thursday, a 60-year-old woman was killed after her car crashed into a wall in the parking lot of the Tel Hashomer Hospital.

The woman, who was an employee of the hospital, suffered a heart attack seconds before the crash, causing her to lose control of the vehicle.

The Magen David Adom rescue service arrived on the scene and tried to resuscitate her, but to no avail. She was brought into the hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead.
