Three killed, nine wounded in car accident on Highway 6

Three people were killed and seven wounded when two cars collided on Highway 6 Sunday morning.

One of the wounded is hospitalized in critical condition, four are in serious condition, and two are lightly wounded.

The accident occurred next to the Ben-Shemen tunnel, when a commercial vehicle carrying workers attempted to merge into a lane reserved for police and security vehicles and collided with a Jeep.

Last Friday, three people were killed in a car accident next to Ben-Gurion International Airport when a car that witnesses said was traveling especially fast spun out of control and hit a concrete barrier with such force that the car split into two
