Judoka Ze'evi speaks of excitement, doubts ahead of Olympics
By Channel 10 and Haaretz Staff
Tags: Arik Ze'evi, Olympics, Israel
Haaretz.com/Channel 10 daily feature for July 22, 2008.

Of all the athletes Israel is fielding at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, perhaps none is subject to such high expectations by the public as judoka Arik Ze'evi.

The 31-year-old took home the bronze medal at the Athens 2004 games, is a three-time European champion and is a world championship silver medalist.

Following the Athens games he injured first his shoulder and then his elbow, after which he took a long break from international competitions.

Today Ze'evi is ranked second in the world, but still has doubts, about which he speaks candidly.
