Two years after Israeli reservists Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were abducted by Hezbollah guerillas in a cross-border raid, the soldiers' families learned their cruel fate at about 9:40 Wednesday morning.

After two long years during which the families remained hopeful that their sons would return home safely, Hezbollah transferred two black coffins carrying their remains to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

At Kiryat Motzkin, the home of Eldad Regev, neighbors were in disbelief after hearing the news. Several of them expressed a mix of sadness and anger at the outcome of the swap.
