A night out for just one shekel
City Mouse
The Shekel Festival is an annual event in aid of creating social and cultural awareness in the community. This year, the festival will take place in the periphery towns of Kiryat Malachi and Tirat Carmel, offering residents top performances over two evenings, all for the price of a single shekel.
In addition to musical acts, the festival site also features street theater, shows designed for youth and children, pantomime and local arts and crafts.
The event is being produced by youth from the local community under the orchestration of Sha'anan Streett, the lead singer of the renowned band, Hadag Nahash.
Program of events:
Monday 14.7, 17:00, Central Stage, Hasportaim 20, Tirat Carmel: Efrat Gosh, Monica Sex, Moshe Peretz, Chaim Uliel, Mosh Ben-Ari, Hadag Nahash.
Wednesday 16.7, 17:00, Municipal Park, Weizmann 7, Kiryat Malachi: HaBanot Nechama, Beit Habubot, Aya Korem, Synergia, Moshik Afia, and the dance company, 'Mahola', (in cooperation with the cast of 'Born to Dance').
