Two Hamas men killed in blast at Gaza training camp

An explosion went off early Tuesday at a Hamas military training camp in Gaza, killing two members of the Islamic militant group and wounding three, a Palestinian health official said.

In a separate incident in the West Bank, the Palestinian Authority attorney general said Tuesday that he had escaped unhurt after an explosion went off under his car as he started the vehicle.

The cause of the Gaza blast at the Hamas training camp was not immediately known, said Palestinian health official Dr. Moawiya Hassanain.

Hamas did not hold Israel responsible for the explosion, which came during a three-week-old truce between Gaza's Hamas rulers and Israel, and the IDF said it was not involved.

A small building collapsed as a result of the explosion in the training camp in southern Gaza. One of the wounded, who was in critical condition, was pulled from the rubble, said Hassanain.

Hamas officials were not available for comment.

In Ramallah, Palestinian Attorney General says Ahmed Moghanni said he was not hurt in a blast outside his home in the West Bank town.

Moghanni said the car was badly damaged by the explosion, which went off in the back of the car, under the fuel tank.

A West Bank police official said he was looking into the incident.
