On "Why Republican candidate Mike Huckabee worries Jewish voters"

This letter refers to Why Republican candidate Mike Huckabee worries Jewish voters

I have to sharply disagree with you on your assertions that Huckabee would pose a threat to Jewish Voters. I am a staunch supporter of Israel, I am also an evangelical Christian. My views are pretty well in lockstep with Mike Huckabee's views. I have a deep understanding of the Jewish faith as well as my own.

I believe that the Jewish people are God's chosen people. The Torah makes this clear. I in no way believe the Jewish people nor the Nation of Israel is a pawn in end times Bible prophecy. I believe that God created all humans with the capacity to choose to obey his commands or to reject God and go their own way. Christians and Jews both believe this. We differ in our beliefs of the atonement for sin. We differ in our belief that Yeshua was and is the Messiah.

Sure there are ignorant Christians that believe that the Jews are responsible for Christs crucifixion and hold that against the Jewish people. I am not one of those that places blame with one religion, ethnicity, or race. Understand that not all that call themselves Christian are a perfect example of what a Christ like person should be. Our New Testament makes it clear to me that as followers of Christ that we are all sinners and all of us are prone to make mistakes. There are also many people that profess to be a Christian yet they are uneducated or mis taught. They are not adhering to the faith that they profess.

I have Jewish friends that I would call ethnic notional Jews. In other words they are Jewish by ethnicity but they do not adhere to the Torah, they do not live their faith either. I find that political views tend to differ between those that strictly adhere to the Torah and those that don't. The Torah Jews and Messianic Jews are almost all conservative politically, while most all of the ethnic notional Jews I know are politically liberal. We have our differences but I see so much in common and I have such an appreciation for Judaism since I truly believe that you can't have Christianity without Judaism. You can however have Judaism without Christianity.

The common ground shared by our faiths is something that I and many fellow Christians celebrate. Mike Huckabee has clarified and long ago posted his position on the issues right on his website for all to read.

In addition to his stated reasons his support of Israel is also supported by his faith just my faith under girds those agreed upon statements. Governor Huckabee believes as the US Declaration of Independence States we are all Created Equal and that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness.

The first right that our founding fathers cited was Life. I as well as many others believe that Life begins at conception and that as a civil society we should protect the life of the unborn, the rights of the mother don't trump the rights of the unborn child. We are as our founders cited Created equally. Mike Huckabee only seeks to clarify what our founders stated in the document that declared the independence of what would become The United States of America. Mike Huckabee also seeks to define marriage as between one man and one woman. The reason for this is because it has always meant just that. Right now the states are deciding this for themselves which creates a problem when a same sex couple moves to another state. Should that state recognize that marriage? This issue must be uniform between all states.

I hope after you do some additional research a recognize that Mike Huckabee would be THE strongest ally of Israel and greatest friend of the Jewish people of any candidate running for president in either party.

Abraham Foxman and the Anti-Defamation League speak as though they represent all Jews in America. He constantly takes statements by Jewish and Pro Israel supporter and distorts what they say. He constantly makes statements against various evangelicals as though all evangelicals are Anti Semites. What is interesting is that there is a ton of support for Israel both from a PR and Financial position that comes from some of the people that he attacks.

My assessment is that Foxman is socially liberal and he is biased against Christians or Conservative even those that are sincerely supportive of Jewish Causes and the Nation of Israel.

Thanks for reading and God bless you.
