Geva, born in Jerusalem in 1950, will be laid to rest at 5 P.M. Wednesday at Kibbutz Einat, near Tel Aviv.

He began his artistic career publishing in the Israel Defense Force's Bamahane newspaper during his service as a combat engineer.

Geva produced humorous comics for adults, such as "Yosef and his Brothers," "Ahalan and Sahalan," "The Knight Zik," "Rav Sha'anan" and "The Duck."

While working in the Israeli television industry, Geva also created music videos for singer Arik Einstein and produced animation shorts for the Eurovision broadcast in 1978.

He also illustrated for the Hebrew newspapers Ma'ariv and Ha'ir.

During the past few weeks, Geva had been busy on a new project compiling illustrations and comics in booklet format under the title "Pulp Fiction."

The booklets were sold in kiosks and cafes.

"Artists have been erased from journalism and art is represented in the press only in critiques. This booklet is an opportunity to give a stage to artists," Geva said.

He is survived by two children.
