Yehuda Ben-Yosef, 22
By Nadav Shragai, Haaretz Correspondent

Yehuda Ben-Yosef, son of veteran Kach activist Baruch Ben-Yosef, recently finished his army service in Egoz, the crack infantry unit, and was working as a security guard at the hilltop outpost where the army had placed an antenna. It's where, said his father, Ben-Yosef hoped to settle, "become a shepherd, study Torah, and raise a family."

Yehuda Ben-Yosef was the oldest of four children born in Kiryat Arba. Eight years ago, the family moved to Mitzpe Nevo, at Maale Adumim. According to his father, who was one of the early members of the American Jewish Defense League, and after immigration joined Kach and the Temple Mount Faithful - and was twice placed under administrative detention by a court order - Yehuda was "a great lover of the Land of Israel and hiked a lot."

The family residence was swamped with visitors Thursday, many from the Kach movement. The funeral is slated for Friday in Jerusalem
