	<description><![CDATA[Passenger traffic at Israel's Ben-Gurion International Airport, Israel's main gateway to the world, increased by 11.5 percent between January and April 2008, according to Israel Airport Authority data released yesterday. The data also indicates an increase of 12.11 percent in the number of planes using the airport also occurred during 2008?s first four months. Some 24,251 takeoffs and landings were recorded between January and April, in comparison with 21,830 in the corresponding period last year. At the same time, the number of passengers boarding domestic flights dropped by 6.37 percent despite a 7.21-percent increase in the number of flights within Israel.
