| Our western world and the values of freedom liberty come at a price: responsibility. It is this responsibility that a governement takes up towards its people, and that, which a people take when they elect a governement and politicians to office. Governments may wage war, but they need their consituents support to do so, at least in the loose term of a democracy. The Palestinian people therefore are now charged, together with the Hamas leadership, for the events taking place. They want to support their goverment in kidnapping and shooting kassams into sderot, they will be responsible for the results of these actions. In contrast to the title of this article, Israel is not perpetuating terror, they are trying to win a war. The palestinians at this moment are fighting for one thing, the right to kidnap. They have to be shown, both the govenment and the people that elected them and support them in these actions, that they have no right to kidnap, murder or attack. |
