So, Gee,
You say I am misinformed about the population mix in the West Bank. (Hardly suprised by that. the older I get, "the more I know, the less I understand..."). Does this mean that you think that Israel could include the West Bank inside its official boundaries and still have a Jewish marjority? That just by not having Gaza in the mix there could be a one-state solution that would be both democratic AND Jewish? And that the demographics in an Israel with those boundaries would support a democractic and Jewish state in the future without doing anthing draconic like transfer or denying spousal citizenship to nonJews?
This is the first I`ve read up here of anyone thinking that is possible. If there are many Israels who think that is true and are willing to live out that possibility, I might have some hope.I am really beginning to believe that the time for two-state solution that has the West Bank be Palestine has passed. That the only possibility is a one-person solution.
