I wondered where you had read that Zionism is racist? I also wondered if you had read any original texts by Zionist thinkers such as Borochov, Ha`am, Gordon, Jabotinsky, hertzl, etc.?
You make the statement that Zionism is racist. Whilst there may be individual Zionists who also happen to be racist and streams of Zionism that can be interpreted as racist I don`t understand how you can come to the conclusion that Zionism per se is racist, unless you want to say that all nationalisms are racist. However, you don`t make this statement, so one can assume that you are singling out Zionism, from all the forms of nationalism.
Of course the Zionist movement has made some mistakes throughout its history (far fewer it must be said than Palestinian national movement) but to say that Zionism is racism is simply written from a position of ignorance.
If you want to read original sources by Zionist thinkers, I suggest "The Zionist Idea" Edited by Arthur Hertzberg. |
