"Jews had found refuge and lived in peace in most Arab countries....Life only became difficult when they associated themselves with a racist belief (Zionism) that actively practised ethnic cleansing."
Really?
Did the Jews of these countries fill out a questionaire on their opinion regarding a modern state of Israel and its place in the Middle East. Were some folks expelled for having associated themselves with Zionists while their Jewish (alledgedly anti-Zionist) neighbors were not?
And about this: "Whats wrong with one state where the law applies equally to all who live there?" There is such a state. It`s called Israel and although nothing is intrinsically wrong with it, it has unfortunately (for all involved) assumed the caretaker role for lands and peoples that are neither self governing, nor Israeli.
The Palestinians in the territories don`t want to be Israeli. And as much as they`d like to, no Israeli government has ever seriously suggested annexing the West Bank. |
