This article was written almost one year ago. It would be interesting to receive an update of progress in this "city".
There is still no movie theatre and the one nearby Orot is closing. The "other" entrance to the city, leading from the junction at the Coastal Road to Hillel Yaffe Hospital and Haroshet Junction, still has no landscaping, fake flowers or sidewalks. The project to build an overpass over the train tracks near the train station has provided us with a cement eyesore. I could go on and on.
Most of the "more affluent" young families that came to Hadera in the early `90`s have left for greener patches. Those of us that stayed likely don`t feel that we get any kind of return on our contribution to the city coffers. |
