| I know it is almost unbelievable, but it is nevertheless possible. We know the price and so do the Syrians: we could give back the Golan heights as a demilitarized zone, with some type of touristic arrangements made possible for both parties, under international supervision. Peace with Syria would have to mean peace with Lebanon and Syria`s detachment from Iran. If they are willing to accept that, so should we. If not, we will have to wait for a different type of Syrian leader, but still the conditions would be the same. |
