| An upbeat piece of news: new olim arriving in Israel. Taglit and Nefesh be Nefesh are doing a good job particularly in the US. But what about people leaving Israel, I`ve met so many Israelis in the EU and US that I`ve lost count. Most left for economic reasons. I hope these new immigrants find fertile ground and well paid jobs, affordable housing, good assistance in mastering Ivrit and assimilating to Israeli culture. Israel can be a very rewarding place to live in if the conditions are right. Improving these conditions should be a priority, not an afterthought. |
