Jews are unique in their reaquiring of ancient lands possessed in antiquity. For two thousand years, it has been "next year in Jerusalem." And now those prayers have been answered. The whittling down (and end) of the Jewish state has been a primary goal of Arabs and Europeans alike. From the creation of Jordan by the British to several wars of annihilation from the Arabs (supported by Russia and others), the Jews have had to fight for their home. And there is no reason to believe that anything has changed. How many thousands of rockets have come across from Gaza? Iran threatens nuclear war. Hezbollah continues to restock increasingly more destructive weapons. Syria is still in a state of war. Only the fence keeps suicide bombers at bay. And textbooks in the Arab schoolbooks still do not show a map of Israel. Peace (or a piece of land) is not what Arabs want. They want it all. Allowing Pals to restrict Jews in a divided Jerusalem is a peek into the future.
