Actually the man who was formerly the richest man in Israel moved to London last year. As have a lot of rich Israelis mainly for tax purposes.
The fact the Shekel is stable is because the American Taxpayer underwrites it with the loan guarantees.
As for property prices in Jerusalem Jews are already complaining that they cannot afford to live there. Arabs pumping in millions will prevent even more Jews moving there parrticularly with a settlement freeze.
The Arabs have oil money, Israel has the wealth of a declining America whose taxpayers are questioning if they can afford $6 billion to Israel per annum.
In the longer run the Arabs will win. That is why Shin Bet are whinging. |
