| linguistic/historic evidence for one thing: virtually all original names of places in the land are Hebrew: Jaffa(yafo), Jerusalem, Hebron, Jericho, Galilee, etc. Archeology: one example: ancient synagogues from the Roman occupation time. You don`t want to use the bible, but at least consider the "new testament" which one can hardly accuse of being pro Jewish, while many stories are fabricated, it does testifie to a Jewish majority living under Roman rule, with a Jewish court, Jewish rituals, etc. e.g. the last supper is a Passover Seder. Also, research an historical document authored by Hadriani Relandi, about 300 years ago, entitled "palaestina: ex monumentis veteribus illustrata" in which the author surveys the population of the land in his time, and testifies to a Jewish majority, a minority of christians, and an even smaller minority of Arabs, mostly beduins that come for seasonal work. |
