| Lisa, you are looking for an argument where there is none. There was nothing wrong with the concept of a Jewish homeland but the problem arose when it had to come about by the taking away of a homeland of people already there. It is with this concept that Einstein had problems and he realized that a true Jewish nation should not be built on the ruins of another. I have no problems with Jews being there today but I do have problems accepting that the Palestinians had to be evicted to make that possible are being kept out. Ellis appears to be asking for the impossible in saying that there should be only one state for both people and that Palestinians should be returned to their pre-67 properties but those that are saying that no Palestinians at all will return are also asking for the impossible. The solution lies somewhere in between the 2 impossibilities. |
