| Ahmadinejad has little power over international affairs and the nuclear program. His portfolio is domestic. The Iranian nuclear program began with the Shah. It was continued by the religious rulers. The people working on it are Iran`s intellectual elite, not the uneducated, lower-class supporters of Ahmadinejad. Iranian nuclear ambition transcends religion, the current regime, and this one demagogue. |
