| If American cannot get its friends to bow to their pressure, how will they persuade their enemies to do so? In the end, America has a far greater chance to get Israel to halt settlement construction than to get Iran to abandon their nuclear program. In spite of this, there is not the slightest sign that Israel will freeze settlement construction. Perhaps the American government should learn to walk before they attempt to fly, when it comes to applying pressure on other nations. |
