It`s objectionable on many grounds (the least being racist; I don`t see it as racist). It is objectionable because it trivializes a serious political-security issue in the public domain at a time when the Israeli citizenery should be focusing on what is at stake. It trivalizes the humanitarian situation the barrier causes in places such as Qalqilia where they are literally walled into a ghetto. Yes it has prevented terrorist attacks but if we are serious about peace, even "economic peace", then the walls will need to come down for trade and commerce to flourish. The cornerstones of any lasting peace. I agree with you all. It`s not racist. The wall served its purpose. But advertisers shouldn`t trivalize these issues because it is greed wrapped in a thing veil of the blue and white. Sentimentality sells here. And all the commercials are so cringe worthy I can`t bear to watch TV anymore. I recommend you all do the same; it`ll rot your brain and wilt your genitalia |
