A Rebbe is responsable for thousands of followers who seek his guidance for everything that matters in their lives, spiritual as well as mundane topics.
Everything a Rebbe does is observed and often taken by example by his Hassidim, obviously he shoulders a lot of responsability for these people, in health matters as well.
Referring to your comment about relying on G`d. Any really religious person does not rely on miracles, one has to make all necessary effort in order not to catch this disease and additionally one prays to Hashem to have mercy on us and help.. There is no such attitude as sitting back and say G`d will help. Very sorry to read about another person that is full of prejudice and contempt against Believing people. |
