Pfeffer`s column is such nonsense. Madoff deserved 1000 years in the pen. A 150 prison term for someone who defrauded investors of $50 billion is not at all out of line. He stole from widows and orphans, hospitals, schools, and Holocaust survivors. With no scruples whatsoever. Indeed, many non-profits have gone broke, and countless poor who depended on them for subsistence have gone down with them. And many older people have lost all their retirement money and are being forced out of their houses. Sadly, a large portion of the victims were Jews.
It is outrageous that Pfeffer castigates anyone, especially Jews, for their condemnation of this evil person. |
