I think it -is- a legitimate question, and lends itself to a legitimate option. If the settlers are unwilling to yield their positions, then perhaps it`s time to consider an Algeria-style solution - that any settler who does not move back beyond the agreed-upon border will have to become a citizen of Palestine in which they reside, and must abide by the laws in their new country of residence, without military protection from Israel.
Of course, this assumes that the PM of the PA was honest in recently saying that Jews would be welcome in the PA. If the statement was not honest... then it does raise the question - why must the PA be Judenrein? |
