When poor people say that they don`t want to live with Blacks or other "Others", they are called racists. When wealthier, educated, "enlighted" people spend double the sum to buy an identical house, but in a more exclusive area, with organic greengrocers - they can still be considered openminded and tolerant.
In Freance they have a wonderful expression - Champagne Socialists. They pick their one ot two fashionable "others" to like, and keep their own liberal credentials clean. And then dispise anyone in between, for not being sufficiently openminded, humane, cultured. wordly..... Can somebody offer Neri a mirror? |
