"Doesnt matter who is the prime minister anymore"

Perhaps the problem is who becomes Prime Minister.

"The opposition will always find more trash to throw around."
- Leor

Such is the nature of `democracy`. The problem of attracting voters is often easier to attain by smearing one`s opponent.

The nature of the Party List system is that it protects politicians behavior for so long that by the time the become a government minister they are thoroughly tainted.

"We are doomed to replace prime ministers every 2 years."
- Leor

So it would seem. Take the last election. Two of the four top parties were led by failed Prime Ministers, one by a person who had been foreign minister of a government which had an astounding track record of failure, and the third largest party is the product of a man who has a particularly odious record in ethic and racism.

Perhaps there are sound reasons why Israelis get a new government every few years.
