| Bibi was in error when he assumed that the Arabs would like to have a sound economy. Such a thing would demand that they work, but the Arabs I have seen in such cities as Ramallah and Bethlehem do not like work. They prefer getting handouts of cash, food, weapons, etc. from we naive westerners. The majority of them even make fun of Arabs who do productive work. Even in other countries, the Arabs depend on economic health from their sole natural resource, petroleum. In case anyone is too young to remember, the oil was discovered and developed by western companies, and then the Arabs took it over, in the early 1950s, when they nationalized the oil industry. Of course, they still depend on westerners to run the pipelines, and the refineries. But in Saudi Arabia, the westerners, if they are Christian, cannot practice their religion openly. It is even forbidden to bring a Bible into the country. |
