Kashrut and modern hygene/health are often miles apart. Restaurants that voluntarily put cameras in their kitchens for inspectors should get a break on their taxes. This could be a great way to improve kitchen cleanliness since there are so few inspectors.
I eat out a lot in Haifa and I often get stomach upsets from the food. We have lots of great modern rules and regulations in Israel. We just don`t have the budget to enforce. Like the police. Hardly any real police out there patrolling - mainly undertrained volunteers. |
