There never was a period after the withdrawall where Gaza could freely trade with outsiders without Israeli controls choking large parts of that trade.
There even was a rocket seize fire supposedly in exchange for a lift of the blockade of Gaza. For a period of time the rockets stopped and the borders remained as closed as they had been.
Economic development only works with trade and trade only works with crossable borders. And it wasn`t the Pals that even today won`t even open that border to allow building matererials into Gaza to repair the widespread damage caused by the most moral army in the world! |
