Hugh, I don`t know what Heather`s father or grandfather was doing, but mine graduated high school in the summer of 1941, joined the army 2 weeks later, and was 19 years old in Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked, in for the duration. Like our fellow gentile citizens, Jews joined the US and other allied militaries in droves. Jews in the Palestine mandate volunteered to serve in the British army by the thousands. Tens of thousands of Jews served in the Soviet forces.
Now that we got past that, just why was it that the US and British air forces were unable to bomb the rail lines into the Nazi death camps? |
