| OF course there is not chance of a settlements deal with Israel. Israel intends to absorb Judea and Samaria, but it cannot until the settlers have forded all Palestinians out of the District. The inability of politicians in the EU and USA to comprehend reality is astounding. No one is willing to do what it would take to make Israel give up Judea and Samaria. If they did they would only be creating an unstable situation which would lead to Israeli provocations and re-conquest. Israel will never accept any agreement which allows the Palestinians to recover the land to the East of the Green Line. Indeed, Israel will allow no Palestinian state. The Palestinians are too weak and divided to free themselves. And the USA and EU don`t have the balls to do anything. Best for everyone to just drop the whole issue of creating a Palestinians State and get on with figuring out where the Palestinians will move to. |
