As a matter of fact, the japanese Globetrotter travel guide on Israel has been in publication for at least 10 years, so this is nothing new. The main obstacle is lack of direct flights--I don`t know how ElAl flights to Japan would work considering Japan does not allow armed personnel on aircrafts. Fred, Japan has no non-aggression treaty with any country because of its constitutinal ban on army (though they have de facto army called self defense force).
